Mimesis Experiences

Like most, the majority of mimesis experiences I have revolve around the television. I often find myself at the edge of my seat in action films, rooting for the underdog in movies like Rudy, tensing up with suspenseful or scary scenes, and on the brink of tears in romances like The Notebook and PS I Love You. Though I know these characters aren't really in danger, in love, or really playing football...I can't help but submerge myself into the micro-world they've created in a willing suspension of disbelief.
